About the Artist - Don Claar

I started woodworking over 50 years ago, and have done most everything with wood, including home construction, furniture, woodturning and executive toys.  After all of this, my true love is intarsia "artistry in wood".

A great selection of commercial patterns are available for ease in producing most anything a person can imagine.  I have taken the challenge to create original "one of a kind" pieces using sketches, photos, or pictures. 
 
The finished pieces I have created are sold at art and craft shows in the southwest and also thru the art shows of the Havasu Art Guild. I also have a private gallery, which is shown by invitation only.

I also teach the art of intarsia in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. There are only two students at a time to create a very "hands on" class.  The classes start every other Monday and are a full week long.

Custom Work
